  1. Absolutely beautiful place to stay.just stayed for 2 nig with close family members getting ready for a family wedding. Very well looked after and would highly recommend it. 10/10 😊

    • Thank you Jane for your comments. I am very grateful to you and your family for leaving the barn clean and tidy for me. I hope you had a fantastic time at the wedding. Thank you for your booking. Kate

  2. Fantastic accommodation, beautiful scenery and a lovely host (Kate).
We just spent the weekend here and it was even more brilliant than we imagined. The bathrooms are modern, the kitchen is fully equipped and the underfloor heating makes it very cosy throughout. Just a stones throw from the beach too.
Don’t tell everyone, they’ll all want to stay! Thanks again, proper tidy.

    • Thank you for the review it is very much appreciated. The barn was left so clean and tidy – again really appreciated. So glad you enjoyed your stay and I wish the groom to be a long and happy marriage. Thank you for your visit. Kate

  3. We stayed at Eastern Slade Barn at the beginning of July for a hen weekend and it was absolutely perfect. There were 15 of us staying, and although we took up all of the beds (there are camp beds under the stairs) the house was still larger than expected! Having the lovely Slade Bay 10 minutes away was great and we spent most of our time there. The whole of the Gower is beautiful and this house is the perfect base to explore from – thanks so much Kate et al., you were super helpful and welcoming and many of us hope to return if not all at the same time… 🙂

    • Thank you Rachel so glade you enjoyed your stay and hopefully we will see you again in the not so distant future. Kate

  4. Fantastic accommodation and amazing value – so much more than a bunkhouse! Lovely living area; clean, smart, modern bathrooms and a large, well-equipped kitchen. Stayed here as a group of 11 for a hen weekend and cannot fault it. Beautiful location – a great place to stay to enjoy beautiful coastal walks.

  5. Excellent value – 5* bunkhouse – underfloor heating, range cooker, wet rooms for showers, individual room thermostats, dishwasher, wow all around. Kate met me on the gate after a late arrival. Pretty special, but keep it a secret!

  6. Just returned from a weekend at the barn celebrating my birthday. Lovely accommodation, lovely surroundings and Kate and her family are very welcoming and helpful. You couldn’t wish for a nicer place to stay.

  7. This bunkhouse is fantastic- the ability to pay per night and per person but with the luxury of an up market barn conversion is an excellent addition to the traditional range of holiday accommodation- particularly for the older surfer or climber who wants to warm up after the day’s activities! There is space to hang wetsuits / store bikes undercover, plus a washing machine for guests to use.
The location is superb with a beach, the coast path and a castle all within 10 minutes walk. Kate is so helpful, the information provided really adds to the experience. Having visited the Gower for holidays for 13 years – we will continue to do so and will most definitely stay again.

  8. Eastern Slade Barn is a real gem in a great location! The standard of finish is extremely high and there is plenty of space for a large group or if sharing with other visitors. Miles of beautiful coastline to explore from the doorstep, and a comfortable retreat for if the Welsh weather doesn’t play ball. Hope to return!

  9. Eastern Slade Barn had 0nly just opened so we gave it a try. Our bedroom had a double bed with a bunk over which was perfect for our family of three. The kitchen was very well equipped for preparing your own meals and a dishwasher made cleaning away easy. The barn had a choice of three bathrooms so you never had to queue and all had luxurious showers, great for when you get back from the beach. In the evening it was lovely to sit in the communal lounge in front of a toastie log burner chatting with the other guests about the days events. The owner of the farm was very helpful and a mine of local information. We will certainly return as it was excellent value.
